How did the English to Grow programme come about?
The English to Grow programme was brought to life when Bloom School was established in 2022. The owner of a language school, who had already been familiar with Edu Bears methods for years, decided to set up a private school because she wanted to create a place where learning was effective and friendly. Knowing the results that our courses bring in practice, she approached Edu Bears to ask if they could be used in the programme of the newly established school.
Our agreement led to an avalanche of further steps which led to the programme: we analysed our methods from the point of view of the core curriculum and supplied the content required by the Board of Trustees, adapted the timetables to a different lesson length and number of hours, and rethought the principles of assessment and self-assessment so that they were in line with the school statutes.
Successful implementation of the programme in every school is always built on a detailed analysis of the school’s policies and finding solutions that are in line with both the school and the Edu Bears standards. Our methodologists work together with the teachers and school management to establish an individualised action plan, and then monitor and support the English to Grow implementation programme until everyone is satisfied with the quality.
